We have really enjoyed using Zoho Analytics at our organization. What we really love about it is how easy it is to connect data sources of any time, and quickly build reports. Data connections are just a few clicks, and report building is truly drag-and-drop.

Being able to share the reports with others in our organization easily, as well as enabling automatic emails of the reports, is fantastic. Overall just a really great tool for us to stay smart on our business.
  • Report building
  • Connecting data sources
  • Sharing reports within our organization
  • Formula building could be easier
  • Formatting the charts could be a little easier
  • Organizing data and reports could be a little easier
It's really well suited for organizations with data from multiple sources, especially non-conventional ones like spreadsheets. It might be less appropriate for organizations with much more mature data infrastructures, but I am not sure, because that is not our organization.

We use Zoho Reports to produce and visualize reports/data better than with what is built into Service Desk Plus. It offers a little more flexibility in the data that can be used and more options to display that information (charts and graphs).
  • Data Visualization.
  • Flexible data sources.
  • Somewhat friendly to use.
  • At least one subscription should be included with Service Desk Plus (at enterprise level). One thing that we have found with Zoho/ManageEngine is that everything seems to have 70% functionality. That additional 30% costs more.
I'm on the fence currently. There has been nothing (to me) truly spectacular with Zoho Reports to make me rant and rave about it to the first person to ask. It's a tool. The tool works well. Support is good. You will need to purchase it month to month or yearly.

I use Zoho Analytics for ticketing and monitoring analysis. I have it integrated into ServiceDesk Plus On-Premise and OpManager too.

In the first case, I get all what we need to know regarding due dates, priorities and SLA tracking to ensure compliance with our end customers because we have the certifications for ISO 9000 and ISO 20000. Zoho Analytics lets us accomplish all our KPIs, preventing SLA violations. The ServiceDesk Plus dashboards and reports sections are a little bit limited because SDP is not a Business Intelligence, then we have more value from the Zoho Analytics dashboards and reports, they're more dynamic to navigate into data.

In the second case, we can get all the monitoring alerts to resume in a single place but for take decisions, not for the alert attention. We can see if there are some economic impact due to the device unavailability or some network interruption, then we can decide if that justifies a device replacement or maybe hire more staff to avoid these situations.
  • Native integration with ManageEngine's tools
  • Instant creation of dashboards from every table, URL or database you connect with
  • Dashboard sharing protected by password and expiration time
  • The data synchronization is not in real time, you need wait at least 2 hours for it
Zoho Analytics is awesome for budget, SLA and availability analysis, I wrote "analysis" not "monitoring" because is not a monitoring tool, all the unavailability detections were made for the monitoring tool (OpManager in my case) and after that, we can analyze the economic impact that they had to our business because of penalties.

Zoho Analytics is not so appropriate if you are looking for a tool that provides you the information in real-time because it needs to synchronize the data every X hours you set, the less is 2 hours.

We initially used Zoho CRM and then after the successful adoption of CRM, we also used the Zoho Analytics BI platform for Business Intelligence and Insights on Deals. We primarily use it for Sales and Lead Generation Insights and our use case is of simple to medium complexity. We use analytics to create some simple dashboards from our CRM data or data from other lead generation and prospect hunting channel.
  • It gives a single unified view everyday for our sales team to look at to track their progress and the progress of their peers in achieving the targets
  • It helps Account Executives to analyse their sales pipeline and find out the score for each deal and any high potential deal that is not getting enough attention
  • Some of our consultants have built very powerful stories on how and what impacts sales using storyboards and they are well understood by senior leadership
  • When compared to Tableau or PowerBI, I feel Zoho lacks the details on design, color palette, fonts, some advanced charts, etc. Tableau has somehow very new-age UI/UX
  • Some advanced AI techniques for customer segmentation (like clustering), etc. using standard algorithms like k-means etc. is not available or difficult to use
We had chosen Zoho Analytics as our preferred BI platform due to 2 main reasons:
1. We were already using Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics integrates well with Zoho CRM and learning curve is not so steep
2. With the cloud version (SaaS), the implementation cost was almost negligible and any smart engineer can deploy it for the entire company (if company size is not huge)
3. It has all the features that we would need

My organization has used Zoho Analytics to create custom analytics dashboards for digital marketing (importing data from Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and time tracking (integrating with Zoho Projects). Zoho Analytics is accessed across my whole organization, but only the operations department sets up/manages dashboards due to the complexity of the platform.
  • Tons of customization options.
  • Sleek dashboard templates.
  • Integrates well with other Zoho products.
  • Difficult to use compared to other dashboard platforms.
  • API connections to non-Zoho sources are not reliable.
Zoho Analytics works well if you are looking to display data from other Zoho applications. My organization used Zoho Analytics to create custom reporting dashboards for time tracking data from Zoho Projects, and it was a great solution. If you’re looking to integrate data from a variety of external sources, you might want to look elsewhere. [In my opinion] Zoho Analytics is not worth the hassle, especially when you could set things up more easily with a tool like Google Data Studio, Tableau or TapClicks.

Different departments are using Zoho Reports for different tasks. It's been very helpful for us for testing purposes against our own APIs as well as for aggregating data from multiple sources. Our executives use it for heavy data analysis to help create models for both financial and forecasting purposes. Our technology department uses it more for testing.
  • Automation - The ability to pull in an API feed using a scheduled task makes it as easy as "set it and forget it".
  • Scalability and performance - We have never run into an issue with too much data, it always performs well.
  • Ease of use - The easy to use interface makes it usable for all levels of technological sense.
  • Wizards - It might be helpful to have some cookie cutter type wizards to help new (and less experienced) users get started quickly.
  • Tutorials and Help - One thing that I find is that some of my team who are not as tech savvy end up coming to us to ask questions as they can't seem to find answers to their questions easily.
If you are pulling data from an API, Zoho Reports has to be one of the easiest products to use. Following the quick directions, you can get up and running with pulling in and parsing data in no time. It's also very easy to take that data and then create an easily readable graphic interpretation of your data.

We use Zoho Analytics to study different types of data and turn them into easy to understand analytics, which are very customizable and comprehensible. Zoho Analytics allows us to import data from any type of service into the platform and it has been a great ally at helping us understand our marketing and sales data, making it more intuitive for us because we are able to create reports and insights in a few clicks and automatically turn it into different charts or pivot tables which can help us view our data in a more simple and fragmented way. I think that this software covers a great range of data and the process is very automated, and we have been able to save a lot of time using this analytics service because it produces reports in a short time and we have been able to take smarter decisions in different marketing-related projects and create a smart business budget that works well.
  • The wide range of charts available to analyze the data makes this software very attractive and intuitive.
  • It has the ability to collaborate with other team members inside the software and it helps take more insightful decisions around different reports.
  • Zoho Analytics has a lot of variety when it comes to supported files type. I can import different data in different file type and I know that it will be supported by Zoho.
  • The smart assistant tool has been very helpful in generating many reports automatically when needed and it has also been of great help when it comes to forecasting.
  • It definitely has a steep learning curve and it can be quite overwhelming, especially with the lack of proper support and tutorials on how to use the features to get the right results.
  • I would like to see more code-free features because some of the tools require some level of coding experience which makes the experience difficult.
  • There is not much customization available for the query tables.
I think that Zoho Analytics provides a great service for its price as it contains many templates that one can use to analyze big amounts of data. I feel like this software is a great option to visualize data in a simpler way and it helps you have a more in-depth understanding of your data by breaking it down into these visually stunning insights and dashboards, and if you use other Zoho tools, I think that it becomes very beneficial to add Zoho Analytics to your plan because it makes the process easier and more convenient.

Our business is a marketing, sales, operations, and installation business. We have 11 departments and all need to share data to create a single source of truth. We had data in Zoho CRM for our marketing and sales teams, and we also had data in Zoho Projects for our Operations and Installations team. By utilizing Zoho Analytics we were able to merge the data together into a single platform by using data syncing. With all the information contained within Analytics, we are able to report and visualize the front and back halves of the business model. Doing so allows us to gain deep insights into all the milestones of a customer's journey. We have been able to make smarter business decisions as a result of the information Zoho Analytics has provided which has to lead to our company making the INC 5000 list 2 years in a row.
  • Allowing various types of data visualizations
  • Creating reports and dashboards that can be easily shared and accessible online
  • Deliver scheduled reports via email to various email groups
  • Sync with 3rd party software, such as Google Drive, to pull in data tables
  • With so many folders in Reports, it would be nice to have a collapse all folders option
  • A trouble tickets tracker would be helpful to keep up with various case numbers in a central place
  • The support can be difficult to get a hold of at times for real time assistance
Well Suited:- Visualizing data into dashboards - Delivering reports to end-users at a pre-scheduled time, such as the end of day reports- Creating slideshows for TV displays Not Suited:- Real-time data updates (earliest automated sync is 3 hours, unless otherwise manually fetched)- Editing source data from integrated tables as it mainly displays data that is provided from external sources

We use Zoho Analytics primarily to query data for Zoho Desk and do reports that fall outside of the built-in Zoho Desk reporting. We have been recently utilizing it to do more complex charts showing the types of helpdesk calls that we are getting and to break down the top problems to submit to the product managers.
  • The built in AI (Zia) can often give you a quick report just by using English words.
  • The ability to include data sources from multiple silos helps produce reports with the big picture
  • Default reports/dashboards give a wide range of information without having to customize.
  • I am confused about some of the filtering dropdowns and why almost duplicate reports act differently for the filters.
  • The publishing of reports seems a little confusing in the area of allowing access if you are authenticated to the Zoho Desk.
If you use other Zoho products, Analytics is a must to get as much data out of those systems. While they have built-in reports, they have some limitations on the number of records you can export and such. Analytics removes those barriers. We have not attempted to pull in any non-Zoho databases so I am not sure how well that works yet.

It is widely used for data visualization purposes but we have generated data tables as well. The graphical user interface (GUI) helps in creating both tables and dashboards very easy and simple. The AI engine also helpful which creates a structure of the dashboard in a minute obviously the entire skeleton cannot be used as it is but one can always modify those to suit fit the requirement.
  • Dashboards
  • Data tables
  • Merging files
  • Validation
  • Limitation on data refresh frequency
  • Challenges in merging data sets
  • When the data gets refresh regularly, adding manual entries becomes challenging
Best suited for the dashboard creation but other tasks such as validation and report generation sometimes become tricky.

We are using Zoho analytics to manage all of our data and to make the reports for each client and its basic implementation in our company is to determine sales strategies and coordination among our departments.I alam also utilizing it to make sales strategies and prospection of strategies. It has helped us in decision-making for our business by processing the analysis of data to find out if we have missed any opportunity.
  • A helping tool to organize the data.
  • CRM synchronization is pretty good.
  • Reporting has become quite easier.
  • A lot of customization options.
  • Automation of reports makes it a great helping hand.
  • The setup of the tool is a bit difficult.
  • Setting the tool for initial use is much difficult.
  • Formula configuration looks messy at times.
Zoho Analytics is very much convenient for almost all sales organizations as well as for the companies related to Information Technology as well as it has the capability to synchronize data from CRM. It is a multitasking tool that helps in saving time by working on multiple data and reports at the same time. Custom reporting dashboards of Zoho are a good way to track the data.

Traditional IT Operation tools capture alerts from all the Infrastructure and then build Reports and Dashboards. This is one of the critical components in an organization NOC. Likewise, several other tools capture different metrics, which leads to several different reports, quite difficult to manage. Henceforth, we utilize advanced and simple to use "Zoho Analytics" to mitigate these shortcomings, centralize our reporting and dashboards from a unified platform.
  • Faster search result within Dashboard and/or reports , thanks to the AI
  • Easy to build Business charts, options to select different metrics, meaningful end-result
  • Capability to share our analysis of data with remote employees, in just few clicks
  • Our organization as well varied partners we worked with, they like the simplicity to navigate and build reports, dashboards at a shorter pace. This excludes operation cost and faster analysis of availability, the performance of KPIs. So far, we are yet to see any features that might feel challenging. Overall product support is very prompt and updates as well roadmap are notified to customers, very transparent.
Long gone are the days when a dedicated Database admin is sought after to collate and build in-house scripts to consolidate data from different sources. Not to mention, each Application with its own Database presents a unique challenge. There are a wide variety of connectors available out-of-box within Zoho Analytics, which can be utilized for making a prompt connection with different files, databases as well Business Apps, to build amazing Dashboards and reports with meaningful data. At the same, custom connectors and REST API options are available to further exploit the advanced capabilities of Zoho Analytics.

Zoho Analytics is currently being used in my organization's sales and event planning departments. My organization uses the software to assist in measuring business analytics on each of our client's respective events. We are able to use this software for forecasting processes and to create cost-effective solutions.
  • User-friendly interface.
  • Ease of use with setting up data feeds.
  • Wide variety of ways to view data and reports.
  • Initial setup is lengthy.
  • Editing data on reports is a bit difficult and the addition of more tools could alleviate this.
  • Sharing reports tends to be difficult.
Zoho Analytics has been a wonderful addition for our organization. It has proven to be cost efficient when working with clients on their events. Being able to pull trend reports and forecast information has truly allowed my organization to become a leader in our field. This is the type of software that makes an organization a leader in their industry.

Zoho reports are used by our Sales division to pull out reports. It helps to give a visual representation of sales figures, which were previously only seen as numbers. It gives us an understanding of who our major distributors are and what their product mix consists of. This gives us an idea of what segment we should emphasize and helps in product development.
  • The AI feature (ZIA) is a major strength as I see it.
  • Various types of graphical representation, including the tunnel graph.
  • Works seamlessly with most databases.
  • Dashboard feels a little too cramped.
  • Dashboard alignments feel a little off.
  • Query joining has a limitation of 5.
Our ERP solution did not have a graphical representation of data. Zoho has helped a lot in that regard.

Our team uses Zoho Analytics to manage our data and create reports for our clients, as well as determine our sales strategy and prospecting strategy. It helps us use data to make decisions about our sales and businesses processes by analyzing the data within our sales processes and seeing where we are missing opportunity.

  • Makes reporting easier.
  • Easy to use
  • Interface is intuitive
  • Setup can be a little difficult.

Zoho Analytics is used by our sales and client relations team to have a running dashboard of all of our sales numbers. [We also use it for] our client outreach data and figures that we would share with clients and also prospects who we are trying to sell. It helps us save time and prevent duplicate work by having one central place for data visualization.
  • I love the amount of ways that there is to view data and create reports.
  • Integrations are super easy to configure and do not take a ton of work.
  • Initially learning the product is pretty easy, at least to get in and access current reports.
  • Initial set up definitely takes some time to be able to configure.
  • The AI assistant I do not think is ready for prime time yet and could be improved before adding this feature.
  • Editing charts and graphs can be difficult and tough to manage.

I implemented Zoho Analytics as a tool to view detailed data from QuickBooks Online. I played with it for a one week trial and was hooked! Now, I am able to sync Quickbooks and Salesforce daily, and I also connect to some downloaded reports via Google Docs. This allows me to view the entire data infrastructure in one place, including Quickbooks, Salesforce, Constant Contact (via Google Sheet), and Greater Giving Fundraising (via Google Sheet). I have a lot of experience using databases and writing SQL queries, so the transition was very simple. It has helped me run my tiny nonprofit (<$500k revenue) super efficiently.
  • Easy to setup links to 3rd party software
  • Nice user interface
  • Fast queries
  • I wish it could link to more of my systems (Greater Giving & Constant Contact).
  • I wish I could auto export data to Google Drive.
  • It can be a little challenging to find query errors.
  • I would love if I could create mail merge letters from Zoho.
I have been recommending Zoho for small businesses and nonprofits as an easy way to view all data in one place. It simplified business processes and greatly improves controls by automating the validity and completeness of review reports.

Zoho Analytics gives us a friction-less way to provide dynamic, expressive data on our University's public website.

Problem to solve: Multiple University departments are charged with supplying University facts and statistics to the website. Previously, our only method of fulfilling our responsibility to publish this data was to give PDFs to Marketing, which is responsible for the website. The presentations were not exciting for prospective students or other site users! While Drupal (the site platform) is very capable, we don't have direct access to work with it. Marketing has limited technical ability in-house and consultants are expensive, so we can't give them raw data and expect them to provide visualizations for us. We also have very limited budget for tools.

Zoho resolution of problem: I now massage the data on-premises, on behalf of the responsible departments, and upload it to Zoho. I create visualizations there, arranged in dashboards, and with a substantial amount of control over filtering and presentation. Department users can easily provide feedback to my initial mockups, and changes are easy to make on their behalf, so this becomes a creative, collaborative process. We only have to give Marketing the code to embed our dashboards in their pre-built pages. Not only does this approach allow site users to explore and understand the data much more effectively than the PDFs full of tables did, but also I can refresh the data for a new academic year "under" the visualizations, without Marketing having to change anything.
  • Very good bang for the buck, especially if you pre-handle your data before uploading so you're not reliant on the Zoho SQL syntax of raw tables and have fewer, wider rows.
  • Reasonable assortment of chart types.
  • Usable design surface, especially for a fully web based system.
  • Reasonably intuitive organization of content types.
  • Nice handling of aggregation functions.
  • Limitations in SQL syntax are difficult to guess at; it's a matter of trial and error to find out what won't work as expected. The docs are a little mystifying on this point ("Please do note that this is just a suggested list of functions and is not limited to it. Although, the suggested list is guaranteed to work.") Similarly, you can embed HTML in a dashboard component, including script functions, but it's not clear what will work and what will not. It's just a question of trying stuff out.
  • Sometimes it's difficult to know when a change has been saved automatically and when it needs an explicit action. In a similar way, when you're designing a chart, it's sometimes difficult to tell whether you were in View mode or Edit mode after you click Settings (there is no visual clue at that point) and sometimes it seems as though what you do in Settings will have different results depending on what mode you were in. I could be wrong about what's really happening, and whether it's related to mode, but have definitely experienced different results with the same action. This especially applies to formatting such as axis fonts.
  • When I'm in the Explorer and click to open a designer, I would love it if the workspaces tab could be clicked to go to the Explorer (it's just a dropdown of available workspace names). I know I can use the sidebar to do this, but it's counter-intuitive that I can't click on that top tab the same way I can click between other top tabs to bring multiple designer surfaces forward while I work. A small thing but it gets me every time.
  • I don't find the generated chart and dashboard examples helpful.
It's very helpful for small companies with a limited budget to perform some data analysis and visualization. It's probably super helpful if you are tied into the Zoho ecosphere for your other business applications, although we are not in that position. It's also great that Zoho requires no on-prem installed component, for people without access to IT support and limited rights to install applications. Because you will eventually run into charting limitations, if you have high expectations and IT support, however, many people are going to be happier with Tableau from the point of view of options.

Please note that my ratings are based on the Basic plan, so there are features Zoho has that I will not rate because, at this level, they are too limited to be practical.

We at FlytBase use Zoho Analytics to track and create a report of one of our products. Zoho helps us to answer business-related questions about product performance and its usage across the global landscape. This helps us to get meaningful insights from our saved raw data logs, Using Zoho we can track various services used across the globe, knowing which helps us to better serve our customers.
  • Easy to upload data.
  • Have multiple ways to upload data from cloud DB and local storage.
  • Making SQL queries is way easier in Zoho.
  • We can use AI imbedded in their product to create simple queries.
  • It is a little tricky to upload data from local storage.
  • Upload tool provided by them sometimes stops working.
  • After 45days of non-renewal of subscription, we lose all of our saved data.
When you need to put data from a NoSQL database to a reporting system, it's pretty easy in Zoho Analytics compared to its competitors. Apart from this if you want to push only relevant data Zoho has inbuild files where we can specify the query and they will only pull the relevant data. We can have multiple workspaces using which we can analyze problems from different departments separately.

We use Zoho reports and Zoho CRM for five legal entities of the group and run them as separate organizations. We attempted to use Zoho reports for consolidating financial data for the group from five different entities.
  • Billing for Zoho Reports works without a glitch.
  • To consolidate different entities, you should pass severn circles of hell, including compilation of difficult SQL script and setting of several integrations.
  • Eventually modeled data set is not helpful, as the extract is not 100% same as Zoho Books (P&L and Balance). Around 95% of data is valid only - that means, we should manually check Zoho Reports consolidation every time we make it; numerous deleted Zoho Books transactions appear in reports and you never know what else and where will come up.
  • The support team promised us to fix specific access and data compilation issues several times, with their usual mantra of "there will be new updated version without this bug" repeating over and over.
I am not sure, given the limited use of it for even for own Zoho products' data feeds.

We have been investigating an embedded data visualization capability to speed up time to market of an app we have developed. Zoho costs are attractive and self service is comprehensive. We find the mapping charts to be a little limited for our use.
  • Loading of simple data sets
  • Automation of loading process
  • Quality of visualisations
  • Selection of charts available
  • Mapping - New feature needs refinement. Specifically a more detailed base map and an "error handling" or "representative sample" visualisation for larger point datasets.
  • Website usability of service / Responsiveness during building of reports
  • Level of control on Ranges for Legends in certain charts. A legend rang is automatically selected which does not allow the user to select a color palette suitable to the customer's requirements.
Commercially, Zoho makes a lot of sense. An ideal app would include the commercial terms of Zoho and functionality of Qlik Sense.

We are a small company and we use Microsoft Dynamics GP as our ERP system. Honestly, it's overkill, and we have to rely on partners to run custom reports and drill down into data. So instead I run sales reports in Dynamics GP as Excel Spreadsheets and import them into Zoho Reports. Zoho Reports allows me to not only examine the data on its own, but because it's a relational database I create my own tables to categorize and filter data, or in other words to extend the data that I import. This way I can put one client in multiple categories, for example. We are in manufacturing, so there aren't a lot of people on computers in the operation, and so I'm one of the only users.
  • Building relational databases quickly
  • Drilling down! It's fantastic to be drilling down into data with very little setup.
  • Custom reports. It's so easy to create custom reports.
  • The dashboard is the easiest dashboard I've ever used, and the ability to print reports on the dashboard gives me capabilities I've always wanted.
  • The SQL implementation is difficult at times.
  • The importer is a little wonky at times.
I recommend it to everyone I know in business. Honestly, it's that good. It's easy to use, it's affordable for small business, and the ability to import excel spreadsheets relatively easy means it's easy to get your data out of whatever accounting system you use and into Zoho Reports.

Zoho Reports is currently being used to analyze finances and view business progress. It is currently being used primarily by the finance department but we are also implementing it across management company-wide. This software allows us to visualize the inner workings of the company and find any holes or issues that may exist. Without such software, it is much harder to find these issues or gaps in our finances, job planning, and other areas.
  • It allows us to store data in a single easy to manage location.
  • Reports makes it very easy to sort through data and locate what we need.
  • Reports offers accurate in depth breakdowns of data as well as a simple and effective means to visualize such data.
  • The have great customer service availability through the chat.
  • Reports was challenging to understand initially and some of their documents were out of date so importing did not work.
  • It would be nice if the importing instructions were a little more clear for the layman as not all businesses can have an IT department or the like to set up software like this.
  • Due to insufficient descriptions, it can be unclear as to what a report is describing or displaying to you.
It seems to be especially well designed for companies that work in industries such as retail. There have been notable challenges that had to be overcome with reports and the associated apps for us who work as contractors. It is not particularly well suited for bidded jobs, lump sum jobs, or jobs, or overtime. We managed to adapt it to make sure that the reports showed us what we needed to see, but it is apparent that this was not a key industry that was in mind when the software was designed.

It is being used to track how much time is being spent on each implementation, as well as internal projects.
  • Ability to customize reports with source measures and filters.
  • Customize access of different reports for different users.
  • Overall, it is a bit difficult to learn how to use. The user interface could use some streamlining.
It is well suited for reporting on project time spent and utilization numbers.

It seems well suited for almost any project reporting needs.
